SENTENCE STRESS

In spoken English, the use sentence stress to show which part of the sentences are. The most important ( the parts that carry the most meaning). They usually stress content words.

Now look at the following examples and find the most important words in the sentence:

I am talking to the clever students.

You’re sitting on the desk, but you aren’t listening to me.

He’s writing quickly, so it’s difficult for him to hear me.
